Every company, large and small, is reporting challenges finding the technology professionals they need. Further, this demand/supply imbalance is driving bill and pay rates for qualified talent through the roof. This either results in an increasing spend for technology support, or unfilled roles in critical positions that hamper business growth.
As a country the United States has millions of unfilled technology jobs. And, yet our education system isn’t keeping up; few colleges and universities provide intensive training on the technologies that you need to run and grow your business. To compound the problem, many tech workers are reaching retirement age. And, what’s worse, the historical avenues that previously bridged this gap – foreign worker immigration through programs like H1B – are under significant scrutiny and simply cannot fill the void.
